Today you’ll start the tour by taking a boat to the Prison island with an experienced guide. The Island itself is beautiful and story behind is fascinating. The best part of it is when you feed a 194 years old tortoise and it is half of human size.
This tour also includes swimming and snorkeling activities.
Water in the ocean is so blue and so clean that you can almost see everything under it. Just put on your snorkeling equipment and you will see a lot of colorful fishes and corals. The atmosphere here is very peaceful with beautiful sights.
Here, there are varieties of food stands, and you get the chance to try some of the delicious local foods like Urojo, a lot of different seafood skewers, sugarcane juice, Zanzibar pizza, and lot more of the Zanzibari cuisine and street food for a very good price.
After breakfast at your hotel we head out to tour Stone town.
The streets at Stone Town are narrow and buildings are made of stone (coral) and mud. That’s one of the reasons it called Stone Town.
Walking through stone town feels just like you are walking through a maze. It is easy to get in, harder to get out, you get to experience the culture of how people live in the town.
Tour site highlights;
After the excursion in the Stone Town, you will go finish the tour at the Spice plantations to discover the richness of Zanzibar’s spices and fruits, which many of them are not only used for spices in food, but also for medical purposes. Plants like cloves nutmeg, vanilla, ginger, black pepper, cinnamon, cardamom etc., a selection of what you see during the tour. During this tour, you will also taste a home-made local lunch.
After breakfast at your hotel we head out to Kizimkazi.
In Kizimkazi, you will board a local dhow and set sail in search of bottle nosed and humpback dolphins that populate the waters.
Swimming with dolphins; you may be able to swim and play with the friendly and lively dolphins at close range which is an exciting and very rewarding experience.
Have a local lunch at Kizimkazi fishing village.
After lunch we will proceed to Jozani Forest.
Jozani forest is the home of Red Colobus monkeys, which are the most famous and lively inhabitants of the forest, a sub- species found only on this Island. Other animals like small antelope and Camouflaged Chameleons also inhabit the forest.
Trip back to your hotel for dinner and get some rest before next day’s departure.
After breakfast at your hotel, we head to Zanzibar airport/ the sea-port for your departure.
